Barbara Ballinger
Director and Principal Occupational Therapist Barbara is an occupational therapist who returned to Bundaberg in 2003 and later established Bundaberg Occupational Therapy. She is a local Bundaberg girl who has worked in hospital, community health and private settings across Australia. She enjoys working in hand and upper limb rehabilitation, and in the treatment of children. Hayley McKay
Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapy) Hayley joined our team in 2014 to work with hand therapy clients. She graduated from the University of Queensland. As a new graduate, she worked in the North Burnett and gained valuable all round skills. She then completed a 2 year working visa based in the UK where she worked in burns, scar management, hands and plastic surgery. Hayley has completed additional courses in post surgery trauma, pain management and sports injuries. Green Sung
Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapy) Green studied occupational therapy at the University of Queensland. In 2014, she has started her career in Bundaberg and has been a local since. She has extensive experience in working with clients in community settings. She has special interest in upper limb rehabilitation and joined our team as a part time therapist in August 2022. Rachael Webb
Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapy) Rachael studied Occupational Therapy at CQ University and graduated in 2019. She joined the Bundy OT team full-time in 2023 and is a local Bundaberg girl. As a new graduate, she has worked in both community and inpatient hospital settings and has since taken a keen interest in working in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. Gemma Maultby
Occupational Therapist (Paediatric Therapy) Gemma joined us full time in 2018. She graduated from Occupational Therapy at CQ University in 2017. She has been a Bundaberg local since 2010. Some families may know Gemma from her time working at the YMCA in Y-mazing, Disability Services, and the YMCA creche. As a student Gemma gained experience during local placements working with children. She also worked on Thursday Island in the hospital and community. Gemma works with children from 2 – 17 years. Sandra “Sandy” Harvey
Office Manager/Receptionist Sandy joined our team in 2012. She was born and bred in Bundaberg and is married with 3 grown children. Sandy enjoys running and has developed a passion for trail runs. Her greatest achievement to date is completing her first 100km Ultramarathon in 2020 and will be signing up to do more. Sandy enjoys all aspects of her role of office manager and receptionist. Neisha Graham
Occupational Therapy Assistant Neisha joined the team as our cleaner during Covid in June 2020 after moving back home. Since then, her roles have diversified to include: Admin assistant OT assistant Dog trainer - her favorite role Neisha enjoys being outdoors and teaching her two neices about animals. |
