PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTs: Bundaberg Occupational Therapy is a busy regional private practice that is making a difference and we want you to be a part of our team as a dedicated Paediatric OT. We offer individual therapy for our Paediatric clients as well as some group sessions. In the past we have run groups for personal hygiene, social skills, Lego and a Triathlon group.
You will work with families to reach developmental milestones and to achieve their goals. Your case load would be varied, with children 0 - 18 years old with developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy as well as typically developing children.
We have 3 Therapy rooms each offering different engagements for our clients. Our resources are very well stocked with toys and games, books, assessments to assist our clients to reach their full potential. We also offer fortnightly PD focusing on Paediatrics.
At Bundy OT we currently have 7 Occupational Therapists plus 3 staff to assist with administration/reception. Some full-time, some part-time and casual staff that are always refreshing and improving on their skills in Paediatrics or hand therapy. Salary is negotiable according to experience and you can also receive a PD allowance.
Our practice is situated in the lovely town of Bundaberg which is a 15 - 20 min drive from the beautiful beaches of Bargara, Elliott Heads or Moore Park Beach and a 4-hour drive or 45 min flight from Brisbane.
You will have the best of both worlds working in a field that you love, in a town that offers a great relaxed lifestyle.
As a member of our team, you will: Be provided with shadowing period and induction. Be supported to work within your scope of practice. Be provided with supervision sessions and regular PD. Receive report writing coaching. Full-time - 9-day fortnight but hours can be negotiated.
Skills and requirements: A passion for Paediatrics; Experience working as a Paediatric OT; Full unrestricted Australian Working Rights (AHPRA); Minimum bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy; National Police Check; QLD Disability Worker Screening; Full COVID19 Vaccination for NDIS clients Great time management skills; Strong communication with children and adults (verbal and written);
