Paediatric Appointments

Booking an appointment
  • Please phone our friendly reception team to discuss booking an appointment on (07) 4151 1222. Please note that due to a high demand for paediatric occupational therapy, our caseload is often at full capacity and you may be placed on a waiting list. Children who had hand and upper limb injuries can be seen by the hand therapy team with minimal waiting times.
  • Please advise if the appointment is post-injury, or is regarding toiletting or is due to developmental delay.
  • Initial assessment is booked for 90 minutes and includes both a parent interview and assessment of your child.  Results of this initial assessment is written up as a short report and discussed with you at their next appointment (this report can be used for school, GP or other health professionals).  Follow up appointments are 60 minutes - 45 minutes face to face with 15 minutes paperwork/set up/cleanup.

Referrals
  • You do not require a referral to be seen at Bundaberg Occupational Therapy.
  • We do require a referral if you are being seen under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (organised by your GP).
  • If you have been referred from a GP, Specialist, Hospital or Health Professional please bring your referral to your appointment.
  • NDIS clients are required to provide a copy of their NDIS goals for our records and for treatment planning.

Payment
  • Please call and talk to our reception staff regarding costings.
  • We require payment at the time of appointment for all private clients.  We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit card and cheque.
  • NDIS clients need to show available funds for payment if NDIA or plan managed.  Self managed clients are required to pay at the time of the appointment.
  • If you have private health insurance which covers Occupational Therapy, bring this card to your appointment and we can claim directly through your health fund.
